Today we’re reviewing one of the most popular testosterone booster supplements around the world – Nutrex T-UP. As we just mentioned, it’s highly rated everywhere, so we’re looking forward to seeing whether it contains the right ingredients to deliver the right results.
Claimed to promote:
- Testosterone levels
- Muscle growth
- Recovery
One thing we noticed, was that Nutrex T-UP doesn’t claim to raise your sex drive, which is a benefit we always look out for when taking test booster supplements.
So we’ll see whether any ingredients inside this product can deliver this benefit – or whether it’s simply missing. Take a look:
About The Company
It’s no surprise that T-UP has become popular, as Nutrex are one of the biggest supplement companies out there. They sponsor established athletes such as Larissa Reis and Yarishna Ayala – which will be enough to sell any product.
However, we always check whether the ingredients inside each product makes this product worth trying out. So that’s exactly what we’ll examine in this review.
The Ingredients and How They Work
After taking a look at the ingredient list for Nutrex T-UP, we were surprised to only see 1 main ingredients (2 if you include Zinc, which is commonly seen in most testosterone boosters).
However, in fairness to Nutrex, they’ve made sure to add a key test boosting ingredient that’s shown to work.
See for yourself:
D-Aspartic Acid
What is it?
If you’re familiar with supplements, you’ll know that this is also shown as DAA on some product’s nutrient profiles.
In a nutshell, it’s one form of aspartic acid (which is an amino acid, with 2 forms – the other being L-aspartate). So now you know what it is, we’ll explain why it’s a key ingredient in test booster supplements.
How does DAA work?
Answer: numerous studies have shown that it’s able to improve your testosterone levels by almost 50% in only 2 week; this is the study that Nutrex have plastered all over T-UP.
So in effect, Nutrex have tried to take credit for a study conducted on the only ingredient in their product (almost as if they’d created the actual ingredient themselves!).
It’s important to remember that any test booster containing an optimal dosage of DAA (over 2,000mg per serving) will deliver this benefit.
Zinc
What is it?
This is the ingredient that almost everyone has heard of – whether it was during your science classes or after reading up about nutrition.
Zinc is an essential mineral that plays an important role in regulating enzymes, as well as being a great anti-oxidant and immune-boosting supplement.
How does Zinc Work?
Right, here’s the important bit; zinc has proven to be an effective aphrodisiac and is able to raise your testosterone levels (this has become common knowledge in the fitness industry after there’s been repeated success in scientific studies).
In fact, this is the reason why oysters are known for being an ‘aphrodisiac’ – because they contain high amounts of zinc.
You can’t argue with the studies that shows zinc is effective.

Nutrex T-UP Missing Many Key Nutrients
Basically, for the price of Nutrex T-UP (around $30), you should be getting better value for money than simply 2 ingredients.
As a result, we believe that Nutrex should have added at least 2 more ingredients to this test booster supplement. This would have made T-UP capable of competing with the best products on the market.

Vitamin D3
What is it?
This is technically a hormone, as your body synthesizes it from the sun’s rays.
Basically, vitamin d3 is probably the best natural test boosting ingredient available; studies have shown that it works, and it’s also able to improve your general health too (many people feel fatigued when they have low levels of this hormone).
How does it work?
We basically explained it already, but just incase…vitamin d3 is produced in your skin after being exposed to sunlight.
As a result, those living in countries that are ‘less sunny’ than places like the USA or Brazil, then you might have low levels of vitamin d3 (which leads to fatigue and lower levels of testosterone).
Therefore, by raising your levels of vitamin d3 through a test booster supplement, you’re giving your body a better chance of producing more testosterone – making more muscle gains and reducing fatigue in the process.
Ultiamtely, vitamin d3 is a tried-and-tested nutrient when it comes to T levels, and it’s one of the main ingredients we look our for when choosing a test booster.
Fenugreek
What is it?
Fenugreek is a herb that’s been used for decades in ayurvedic medicine (traditional Indian medicine), for good reason – it works.
How does it work?
Studies have shown that fenugreek is able to regulate your blood sugar levels, which keeps your testosterone levels stable (a big spike in blood glucose can cause an immediate drop in T levels).
However, the most important thing is that fenugreek has shown to directly improve testosterone production. But our favorite thing about fenugreek, is that it’s shown to work in dosages as small as 50mg (making it one of the most efficient nutrients too).

Pros and Cons
Pros:
- D-aspartic acid proven to raise T levels
- Zinc is an effective test booster ingredient
Cons:
- Only contains 1 main ingredient (zinc is in almost every test booster on the market)
- Missing key test boosting nutrients
- Not worth paying $30 for 1 ingredient
Side Effects
Although Nutrex T-UP only contains 1 ingredient, the good news is that DAA hasn’t been reported to cause any side effects.
It also contains zinc, which can cause side effects when consumed in daily doses over 40mg (which is the official tolerable upper limit for humans). Fortunately, Nutex T-Up have added a good 15mg,so you’ll be safe with this mineral too.
For future reference, we recommend only consuming between 10-15mg zinc per daily serving in supplements (as you can consume this mineral through foods too).

Review Conclusion
We can see why Nutrex T-Up is a popular ingredient; most people find this company very trustworthy, and will purchase their products without looking at alternatives anyway. And the ingredients inside are proven to work – there’s no denying this.
However, the only problem we have is that Nutrex T-Up is essentially a 1 ingredient product. So you’d get the same benefits by taking a individual DAA product for cheaper.
In a nutshell, the reason why testosterone boosters have become popular, are because you can find products that contain between 6-9 nutrients that’re proven to raise your test production. Now, if you buy 6-9 ingredients seperately, it’ll cost you more than the price of these test booster supplements.
As a result, we recommend looking at the highest rated test boosters on the market that contain more than 1 key T-Boosting nutrient – to get the best value for your money.
