EvoTest Review

|

If your goal is to improve muscle mass when you work out, then a natural testosterone booster could help you.

Muscle gains and increased strength are among the many benefits of increasing your testosterone levels – and EvoTest, from BSN, is one of the most popular boosters currently available.

Available in both powder and capsules, depending on your preference, EvoTest claims to be a “concentrated testosterone support matrix”.

Ingredients and how they work

EvoTest recommends taking two capsules twice-a-day for three weeks.

Although there is the proprietary blend to deal with, EvoTest still contains an impressive line-up of ingredients – such as vitamin D, magnesium, d-aspartic acid and fenugreek. The inclusion of calcium, lactic acid and cordyceps look promising, too.

By taking the regulation two servings a day, that will total 5.6g of the X-SHOCK Composite, so you should, in theory, get a decent dose of the good stuff.

Vitamin D (Cholecalciferol) – The ‘sunshine vitamin’ plays a vital role in the production of testosterone. Men with vitamin D deficiency have been shown to have lower free testosterone.

Calcium – This essential mineral was reported to have helped increase the testosterone levels in athletes during a clinical trial.

Magnesium (Magnesium Oxide) – According to research, men with greater levels of magnesium in the blood have an increased amount of free testosterone. Magnesium also helps relax the muscles and combat fatigue.

X-SHOCK Composite (Magnesium Oxide, Lactic Acid, Ginger Extract, N-Acetyl-Cysteine, D-Aspartic Acid, Fenugreek Extract, Suma Root, Cordyceps Extract, Ginkgo Extract, Linum usitatissimum, Cholecalciferol) – The key ingredient in this composite is d-aspartic acid as studies have shown that taking it can significantly increase in testosterone levels in less than two weeks. This amino acid reacts in the brain to cause the release of luteinizing hormone, which in turn helps create testosterone in the testes. Fenugreek, a rich source of antioxidants, can increase the male libido and keep testosterone levels stable. N-acetyl-cysteine appears to combat fatigue although further testing is required, while suma is packed full of nutrients. There is a direct correlation between the increase in lactic acid and testosterone levels. Ginger has been associated with increases in testosterone which is believed to be through thromboxane inhbition. Cordyceps, a mushroom, helps regulate testosterone levels, while ginkgo can boost libido and enhance erections through nitric oxide metabolism. Linum usitatissimum, or flax, has been shown to positively influence prostate-specific antigen levels alongside soy.

EvoTest review conclusions

We are going to forgive EvoTest for the proprietary blend as there are some really great ingredients packed into each two-capsule serving.

D-aspartic acid has been proved to quickly increase testosterone levels, while magnesium, vitamin D and fenugreek all stand out in the ingredients list.

BSN, themselves, describe it as a “novel formula” but it is one that pays off for – especially the decision to avoid including tribulus terrestris.

Having to cycle it after a three-week period will be off-putting to some people, although it does work as better value for money that way.
